Crop Walk Support

The money collected in the children’s offering for the months of September-October will go towards the CROP Walk, a Christian church service that feeds hungry people around the world.  Perhaps your family would like to walk on October 9th.  Young children may ride in a wagon or stroller.  We will have different missions throughout the school year.  This is a great way for the kids to be a part of helping others!

Preschool Tree:  Have you check out the tree painted in the nursery foyer lately?  Nancy Kelley and the students have added butterflies in the branches and children under the tree.  We are waiting to see what shows up next!  Once again we are grateful for Jeanne Worm’s artistic talent.

A May Surprise:  Students will be making decorations on May 1 to hang on the tree in Fellowship Hall.  This project organized by Jennifer Courtland will honor mothers and grandmothers.  Boys and girls will be working on another special project on Sunday, May 8.  Shhh!  It is a surprise.

Fall Sing and Ring:  Church School children and youth will sing and play bells 9:30 A.M. on October 9.

Music is a special part of Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Karen Disegna leads the singing; Emily Garland leads the Kristal Bells and chimes.

Youth Sunday

Youth Sunday gives a chance for the 6th-12th graders to lead worship. The 2nd graders also receive a Bible of their own during a Sunday School assembly.  These students will be presented to the congregation at the 9:30am service and will then return to their classroom.

Worship in The Woods

On September 18th we will have Worship in the Woods.  This will be a special Sunday where we will walk the kids back to the pavilion for a special time of stories, snacks, music, and prayer.  Please make sure they wear good walking shoes that day.  Parents are welcome to walk back with us but are not required to.  If it rains we will stay in the gathering area.
