United Methodist Women's Potluck Picnic - August 11 at 12 pm. To find out where the picnic will be held, please call the church office for more information.

Church Women United - The CWU sponsors a salad luncheon Wednesday, August 13 from 11 am to 1 pm in the Seventh Day Ad-ventist Church Fellowship Hall, 305 N. Lavinia Street (behind the jail). All are welcome.To find out how to buy tickets before the event, please call the church office. The cost of a ticket is $6.00.

Choirs for August - August 6,13,20,27 Praise Band Rehearsal 6-8 (except August 6)

Fellowship Golf League - This gold league is forming in our community. Games will be Monday evenings at 5:00 pm from May 19 through the end of August at Lakeside Links Golf Course. Cost is $20 league fee (for end of year dinner, prizes, etc.) plus weekly green fees. For more information, please call the church office.

Tai Chi class - Meets in Fellowship Hall from 3:00 to 4:00 pm each Thursday for 12 weeks, beginning May 1. Sign up in the narthex or call the church office for more details. Minimum 20 people needed. Cost is $60, and all proceeds come back to the church.  

***Church Women United again sponsors its annual school supply collection for economically disadvantaged children. Please donate backpacks, scissors, rulers, spiral notebooks, pencils, pens, erasers, crayons, small packs of tissues, small hand sanitizers, and other things that may be helpful in a backpack. There will be a bin in the narthex or between the front doors. Last year you were all so generous. To find out about how to donate and where checks should be sent, please call the church office. Checks and items are needed by August 3. Thank you for your support.

Volunteer Opportunities  

Please call the Church office to see if any volunteer opportunities are available.

You are needed! Do you like to greet people, answer the phone, and keep current on what’s going on at church? Then please consider volunteering in the church office this summer! We have the openings on Monday mornings, Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings. Please call the church office to find out more, or to volunteer.  

Sound and Video Tecs needed - We are in need of sound and video techs to help with both the 9:30 and 11:00 services. We especially need some addi-tional help with the summer approaching. We have a comprehensive training program but some knowledge of computer is helpful. Please contact the church office

Cherry Pie Making - It is Cherry Pie time again. The UMW ladies will be making cherry pies on July 24, at 9:00 AM. We need all kinds of help, whether you are experienced or not, we can train you. We actually have fun while we make pies. The pies will be for sale August 2.
