Starting in Fall 2015 the Sunday Schedule will be as follows:


9:00 am Contemporary Worship

10:00 am Sunday School

11:00 am Traditional Worship.

This schedule will enable teachers and students to attend Sunday School without missing the worship service of their choice, and will enable our children and youth to participate in worship!

In Worship

If Needed: Ask an Usher for Large Print Worship Bulletins, Large Print Hymnals, Children's Doodle Folders, and Listening Devices.

Women's Summer Bible Study - Women’s Summer Bible Study begins May 14. We will be repeating the Ruth/Esther study by Max Lucado for the women who have been away for the winter. The study is 10 weeks, and much enjoyed by our winter women’s group. Study books are $7 and will be available at our meeting on the 14th. All women of the church are welcome to attend. For more information you may contact the church office for more information.

Food Pantry collections first Sunday of every month.

Children's Pillowcase ministry. Like Prayer Shawls ministry for the younger set! Please contact the church office with suggestion for gifting.

Choirs for August - August 5,12,19,26 at 7:00 pm

Salvation Army Food Pantry - Please remember to bring non-perishable items for the Salvation Army Food Pantry: Cans of baked beans, soups, fruits and vegetables; boxes of macaroni and cheese, cereal, boxed meals; packages of rice, noodles, pasta and beans; peanut butter and jelly, powdered milk, and any other non-perishable items. Drop off in the narthex. Thank you so much.       

Old-Fashioned Hymn Sing - August 2. Our church is having an Old-Fashioned Hymn Sing at 6:00 pm Sunday, August 2! Call the church office to suggest your favorites!

Christian Education Meeting - August 10 at 6:30 pm

4One Quartet Concert - August 16. The 4One Quartet performs in 9:30 and 11:00 am worship services; we provide nursing home  

Annual School Supply Collection - Once again Church Women United is sponsoring its annual school supply collection for economically disadvantaged children. Starting July 5, a bin will belocated in the entryway to collect items. Please donate backpacks, scissors, pens, pencils, spiral notebooks, erasers, crayons, small packs of Kleenex, small hand sanitizer, and other items useful in a backpack. Anyonewishing to donate funds instead can make a check payable to United Methodist Church of Ludington, noting “backpacks” in the memo. The deadline for collection is August 2. This church has always donated and your help in appreciated.  

Fundraiser Salad Buffet - Church Women United will hold a fundraiser salad buffet Wednesday, August 12 at the Seventh Day Adventist fellowship hall, located at 305 N. Lavinia Street. The cost is $6. To find out more information about how/where to purchase tickets and where to make the checks payable to, please call the church office.

Volunteer Opportunities  

Please call the Church office to see if any volunteer opportunities are available.

Set up Fellowship Hall - Once again we need some first service attendees to set up coffee, punch and goodies in Fellowship Hall prior to 9:00 am. We need this help for the first and fourth Sundays each month. If you are willing to help one of these Sundays, please call the church office for more information.

Summer Substitue receptionists - The church office could use some occasional summer substitute receptionists. Please call the church office if you are interested in more information or to sign up.
